Season 4 of The Office may have been shortened, but it's still the same show we've come to love over the years!
Okay well whoever gave this a bad review, or called this a sophomore slump, has no idea what they are talking about. First of all before buying this I looked at the reviews on amazon, which I usually do, and saw some really negative reviews. So i was starting to think that this season was going to suck. I bought it anyway because I felt obligated because of how good the first season was, and guess what? You guessed it, this season rocked. I thought it was very well done, considering the writers strike, and it kept my interest the whole way through. Even though it is only eleven episodes, it is well worth buying. I'm glad i didn't let those negative reviews talk me out of getting this set, and I hope they don't stop you from enjoying this amazing series as it gets better.
MICHAEL BAY is not a consistantly good filmaker . i'm not even sure MR. bay is a filmaker ? let me ask my inner child . MTV would blush . it's not that it trys too hard . yeah , on unwarranted second thought , it is . painful .
I think this season was absolutely amazing. Althought it didn't involve as much killing, it still had more than enough to satisfy that certain part of the season. This season not only incorporated dexter's killing but also his relationships with Rita, the children and his own sister. I liked the fact that dexter seemed to have grown some kind of a conscience or some sort of feelings. Any how I think its well rounded because it has, drama, sex, killing, relationships.. what more can you ask for from a series. If you love season 1, you will also love this one.
For the first start of the season, it's only a little more varied than the normal House formula. But the season finale(s) are very well thought out and edge of your seat good. If you are to watch 2 episodes from season 4 I would recommend the last two.
I really enjoyed this movie. I think it was just as good as the series itself. It was great to see the fabulous girlfiends together again and their new outfits and the way they changed and how they were doing in general. I laughed and I cried as I watched the movie. It definitely met my expectations. My friend and I were among the first people to see it and she liked it as much as I did.
I own all the seasons of Sex and the City and I will buy this movie.
It's a must see for everyone who loved the series.
I gave this 3 stars just because half of the season sucked and half was better than the first. Total Spoilers here if you havent seen it. The first half was written so bad, I hoped that we got to know more of the interns, oh wait they focused all of that idea on Lexie, who cares about Lexie. Seriously? The George and Izzie thing should have never happened they messed up the best friendship on the show. Christina became weak, I honestly dont think she wouldve kissed Hahn's @$$ like that being the strong minded person she was. I honestly thought Burke shouldve stayed or came back/or hell just replace Isaiah, Christina's personality showed more when dealing with him. And why screw up Baileys relationship, she had the only one that was being held together, couldnt somebody be a good example. Hahn, she should've stayed at the other hospital, I thought she was a lesbian from the jump but to put her with Callie, come on! The whole Callie/Sloan/Hahn thing complete smut. Why! I did like Derek with Rose, dont know why, maybe I was just sick of Meredith, she needed a wake up call and that was Derek leaving for good. Speaking of leaving for good, Why ADDISON! she shouldve have stayed, although season three they made her weak too, she wasnt the ballsy woman who stepped up to Meredith and said so you must be the girl sleeping with my husband. Alex and Ava was a definate no for me, but to make the girl psycho just to get rid of the character...not working for me. I did like the Addison/Alex thing. But why go back to Izzie. No matter what they do, nothing will compare to Izzie and Denny, they have to make another him for Izzie why would she settle for less. After the strike the hospital drama got better but the relationship side didnt work, I was happy for the Chief though but it couldve been written better. I hope the writers from season two come back, then I can get gooey over Grey's again.
Iron Man The best reviewed film of the year. the Visual Effects are amazing, Robert Downey Jr. is very good as Tony Stark/Iron Man, the cast is pretty wonderful in this first film financed by Marvel Studios. The movie made over $317 million at the box office as the second biggest hit of 2008 way behind The Dark Knight at $507 million and counting as also the year's biggest hit.
I am not big purchaser of direct to DVD movies, we usually stick with theatrical releases, so this one may be decent compared to other movies of this type. But, compared to other Disney theatrical releases this one is terrible. The animation is fine, but the writing is bad and the music isn't anything special. Also, there are any number of scenes/actions in the movie that I don't want my daughter emulating.
The best part of the movie is the credits (they're animated and set to music in the Monsters Inc. style). The movie seemed promising when I read about it and pre-ordered it months ago, but it sure did fall short. As others have noted, bonus features do nothing to improve this movie purchase.
To begin: Don't watch the first episode. The opening episode of Season Four is shot almost completely as a "Making Of" documentary for Medellin. Even when we are watching the show, we are still really watching someone else filming it. This episode ruined the entire season and nearly ruined the entire series. It wasn't just that it was a different format, it was that the different format was distinctly not Entourage.
Season Four, though still entertaining and able to advance the plot, pales in comparison to previous seasons. Ari and Walsh carry the season, and when they aren't in a scene, there usually isn't anything going on. There is a complete lack of substance, and the only real chance at a relationship is E's attempts to manage a female clush (client crush). The Medellin trailer is pretty good, and like in the show, is better as an extra than the main attraction.
Let me repeat: No matter what, even if you watching the Making Of Medellin featurette and Kevin Connolly says it's his favorite episode, do not watch the first one. It just doesn't live up to the expectations that the show has created for itself.
